It was a double act for Mobico at the recent Motorola ANZ Awards – it picked up two major awards…

Allan Moyle received the Award of Excellence for Wireless Network Solutions, beating over 100 other companies to win the award. The account manager for the New Zealand mobile solutions provider says Mobico’s wireless mesh network technology was mentioned as one reason why he secured the award.

This new node-based technology is scalable and flexible, and, most recently, has been used to good effect by C3, the on-wharf logistics company, at Ports of Tauranga, to help track logs – 21 million of them annually. The mesh topology allows extra nodes to be added easily and now cover 13 hectares at the port.

Mobico’s networks for Foodstuffs Auckland and Wellington, and for Auckland Regional Council, were also mentioned, said Moyle.

Mobico general manager Aldas Palubinskas said Moyle was always focused on “getting the right sort of solution for a customer and understanding what they wanted to achieve from a business perspective.”

The company also picked up the NZ Partner of the Year Award, for Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Business.

Enterprise mobility manager for Motorola Vincent Chiappazzo said, “Whenever we hear Mobico is involved, we know the customer is in safe hands.”

He added that Mobico continues to be a leader in providing enterprise mobility solutions in the New Zealand market for Motorola. It achieved the highest Motorola partner revenue in 2009, securing a number of notable wins in the retail sector, and continues to excel in customer service and satisfaction.”
