Tech21
What is Tech21?
The Ministry of Education and NZTech have partnered to host Tech21, to inspire ākonga (learners) into technology careers.

The Tech21 Summit has been designed to spark inspiration for year 7-10 ākonga. The Summit on 24 May at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau will showcase tech innovation and creativity, plus the opportunity for Technology Learning career pathways. The Tech21 summit is hosted in collaboration with Techweek2021, a weeklong nationwide festival of innovation.

Tech21 is focused on Kiwi innovation and opportunities for technology careers. New research shows less than three percent of the tech workforce are Pacific people, four percent are Māori and twenty seven percent are female. We want to make a positive change and impact these statistics!

We know there is a tech job to suit everyone and we need your help to show how tech careers involve more than just coding.

Join the Imagine Zone
This is a space for ākonga to touch, feel, see and imagine. This powerful experiential zone will actively engage ākonga in state of the art tech and imagine their future in tech. We invite expressions of interest to join the Imagine Zone and showcase technology careers with storytelling and hands-on experience for ākonga.

Why get involved?
As the demand for digital skills remains high, we need to ensure ākonga are interested in pursuing these careers. We need your help to showcase the tech world and help ākonga explore future career opportunities.
