The intention behind Techweek is simple – New Zealand’s technology and innovation sectors are growing rapidly, and Techweek fosters that growth by providing the national ecosystem with a week-long opportunity for connection and cross-pollination, and an independent platform through which to amplify New Zealand’s unique and inspiring innovation stories to the world.
A digital Techweek
The uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 means that we have made the decision to take Techweek entirely online this year.
While this new format means that only digital events will be part of Techweek2020, it also means that people won’t be restricted by their geographic locations so they can attend any or all of the Techweek2020 events.
As a week-long digital festival, Techweek2020 is all about encouraging Kiwis to engage with tech and explore the opportunities it provides to re-start the New Zealand economy and connect to our future. Whether you want to go speed dating with business advisors or become a pro at making infographics, learn about the future of virtual reality or how to catalyse a space industry in your region, there is something for all tech interests.
The Techweek website has everything that’s on offer for Techweek2020 so far. To keep track of the events you are interested in and create your own Techweek2020 schedule, click the Save Event button on the event listings.
The best thing about a digital Techweek is that everyone can attend every event, no matter where they are in New Zealand or the world!
TechweekTV, which features interviews, panel discussions and other online video content, will broadcast throughout Techweek2020.
