CallPlus’ new voice solution aims to give big player options to small businesses…

The Kiwi owned telecommunications provider has added a new voice solution Connect Lite to its product range.

CallPlus general manger Kelvin Hussey says it gives small businesses access to top end technologies without a significant upfront investment.

He says the service is cost effective with an easy payment structure based on a per-phone, per-month fee. It can be scalable to fit seasonal requirements of the business.

It also gives customers a fixed cost that allows them to forecast their expenditure.

He says the company has taken the technology, which was previously only accessible to larger organisations, and developed it exclusively for small businesses.

“With SMEs forming the majority of New Zealand businesses, it made sense to develop a product specifically for them,” Hussey says.

“Connect Lite is a PABX replacement allowing businesses without in-house IT support access to a cost effective and feature rich telecommunications system with round the clock monitoring. It also allows businesses direct control over administrative tasks that previously would have been logged with a service provider.

He says lower calling costs and ongoing 24/7 support are also benefits.

”Customers receive a business bundle consisting of premium VoIP feature rich desk phones, Internet, WiFi and Local Area Network.”

CallPlus is the fourth-largest telecommunications company in New Zealand with revenues of over NZ$100 million. Entrepreneurs Annette Presley and Malcolm Dick founded it in 1996 to provide voice and data communication services. It owns internet service provider Slingshot.
