Intergen leads new focus on customers for restructured Awards ceremony…

The full Microsoft partner ecosystem gathered in Auckland last night for their annual leer-up at the New Zealand Partner Awards.

After taking out Microsoft’s Global Partner of the Year award on the world stage, Intergen has continued its roll, winning two categories for their ‘Data and AI’ implementation at Foodstuffs, and in the ‘Optimising Operations’ category, earning recognition for their work at AB Equipment.

A cloud-based solution for Tourism New Zealand and the use of Office 365 for charitable community health provider Emerge Aotearoa were among other customer projects picking up honours.

“Solutions and innovations that are optimising businesses as well as improving people’s lives.”

This year’s streamlined awards saw a greater focus on customers with the categories, which were reduced from 26 to 11, focused on areas such as the Modern Workplace, Engaging Customers, Empowering Employees and Transforming Products, along with more traditional technology categories of Data and AI, Applications and Infrastructure and Business Applications.

Datacom’s Tourism New Zealand solution won the Empowering Employees Award, while Lexel Systems ‘innovative’ approach to My Food Bag took out the Modern Workplace category.

Theta won the Cloud for Good Award for its use of Office 365 at Emerge Aotearoa and also took out top honours in the Business Applications Award for its work on a Downer facilities maintenance application.

Microsoft New Zealand commercial partner director Phil Goldie said judges were incredibly impressed by the high calibre of entries, which provided a ‘genuine challenge’ to pick winners.

“The winners truly showed a range of Microsoft Partners who are delivering excellent solutions and innovations that are optimising businesses as well as improving people’s lives,” Goldie said.
