Griffins, New Zealand’s largest snack food manufacturer, needed to modernise ageing infrastructure behind its SAP system and build in geographical redundancy and disaster recovery – capabilities that had previously been cost-prohibitive on its existing setup.
Realtech and technology partner Umbrellar migrated Griffins’ SAP system to Microsoft Azure, giving the business a new growth platform with proactive management of the disk usage volatility that had been causing problems.
“Once the environment was set up and configured, the Griffins team managed the overall migration and testing, but we left the bulk of the heavy lifting and SAP specific tasks in the project to Realtech and Umbrellar,” says Stephen Lewis, General Manager IT at Griffins.
