Melbourne-based Kookaburra Sport, which makes around 700,000 cricket balls a year for 50 countries, was running separate, ageing business management platforms in each of the four countries it operates in – Australia, New Zealand, India and the UK – leading to duplicated effort and no shared view of information like inventory.
Working with Sage partner CitySoft Consulting, Kookaburra Sport implemented Sage X3 as a single, cloud-based, multi-country and multi-currency platform, consolidating the four separate systems into one source of truth.
Processing large orders that used to take up to 120 minutes now takes five or six minutes. The efficiency gains have supported the company’s growth, including a recent merger with Australian Rules football manufacturer Burley Sekem.
