Nature One Dairy, the Australian-owned powdered milk manufacturer, was tracking goods around its plant entirely on paper – workers logged materials by hand as they arrived from suppliers, then re-entered the information into an Excel database, constantly double-checking stock locations against the spreadsheet by hand.
After six months evaluating warehousing, accounting and other options, Nature One Dairy chose an end-to-end SAP SMB solution built on SAP Business One for HANA, engaging DXC Technology – picked for its experience and nearby Melbourne office – to deliver and customise it, integrating the system with the company’s Warehouse Management System and Package Code Management system.
Staff now scan goods straight into a receipt purchase order with a handheld scanner on arrival, scan again to record warehouse location, and release stock to production from a tablet connected to SAP – replacing the paper-and-spreadsheet process end to end.
