Top Energy, the Northland electricity distribution business, faced an unavoidable deadline as SAP ECC support was set to end in 2027, and had grown frustrated with slow, impersonal support from its incumbent provider – it wanted a modern solution sized to match its own operations, without unnecessary complexity.
Realtech migrated Top Energy from SAP ECC to S/4HANA Public Cloud, re-platforming finance, asset management and work management, adding SAP Datasphere for reporting, scheduling tools to improve planning, and the groundwork for AI-driven self-service reporting through SAP Joule.
The project went live on schedule and within budget, replacing a rotating cast of support staff with consistent consultants Top Energy could rely on.
