NZ AWS partner snapped up by Australian cloud service provider…
Consolidation is taking hold in the cloud services provider market, with news out that listed Australian company Bulletproof is to acquire New Zealand’s Cloud House. Established in 2007 and with offices in Auckland and Wellington, Cloud House provides consulting, billing and managed services for cloud computing and is an Amazon Web Services Advanced Consulting partner.
In terms of the deal, Bulletproof will pay NZ$1m for the company and said in a statement that it will gain ‘approximately NZ$3.5m [in] annualised revenues with around NZ$500k of current run-rate EBITDA’.
The owners of Cloud House (founded by Scott Judson and Jordan Greig) will join the Bulletproof management team.
The acquisition is Bulletproof’s third, having previously acquired Panthacorp, an AWS Consulting partner in December 2014, and Infoplex, a private cloud provider, in October 2015. The company said this deal makes it the region’s largest AWS Partner while also ‘bringing new cross-Tasman enterprise customers [and] tapping into a market that is leading the region’s cloud adoption rates.’
Furthermore, said the company, the acquisition will ‘provide corporate, financial and marketing resources to the Cloud House team to continue to extend its lead in the New Zealand market’.
