Planned executive transition sees new country manager for Cisco Systems NZ…

After nearly a decade in the role, Cisco country manager Geoff Lawrie is leaving the company to extend his career in governance and advisory roles. Taking his place from November is Dave Wilson, a five year veteran of the networking giant.

In the past nine years, Lawrie has overseen considerable expansion in Cisco’s technology portfolio and growth in its customer base in the New Zealand market.

Wilson is a member of Cisco’s executive team in New Zealand and has most recently lead the company’s engagement with the telecommunications sector.

Prior to Cisco, Wilson held local and international leadership roles with technology companies including Ericsson.

Cisco ANZ VP Ken Boal paid tribute to Lawrie’s leadership, crediting him with overseeing significant growth, guidance of customer and partner relationships, and developing a high performing team.
