2018 CIO Awards winners revealed

The winners have been announced at a glittering gala dinner, recognising leadership, innovation and foresight in New Zealand ICT and business…

Held at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre in front of a record attendance of 950 senior IT professionals, the 2018 CIO Awards celebrated the best of the best in New Zealand technology.

The two biggest wins of the night went to Avi Golan, Chief Digital Officer at Air New Zealand named as CIO of the Year, and Ian Taylor named for his outstanding contribution to business and technology in New Zealand.

“The high standard of entries reflects the growing importance of ICT in the delivery of business and digital strategies,” says Peter Wise, Country Manager of IDC New Zealand.

“The examples that the winners set in driving business transformation initiatives in their organisations demonstrate to all in the industry what is possible when leadership is combined with a culture of innovation and change.”

So without further ado, the winners of this year’s CIO Awards are as follows:
