Company embarks on a business transformation programme to ensure optimal positioning to meet future client needs…
Changing customer dynamics with a solutions and services focus means Fuji Xerox New Zealand continues to review its strategy, with the company saying that it considering reworking its organisational structure to maintain its market position and improve the experience it offers its customers.
In a statement, the company said its business transformation programme is looking to put more people in customer-facing roles, while improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of its local operations. It said it is targeting the removal of any unnecessary cost.
As part of the transformation programme, it has brought together a new senior leadership team led by managing director Gavin Pollard; he said the proposed changes are the result of a complete review of the local business coupled with changing market dynamics.
“Traditional print services remain at the core of what our customers want from us, but, increasingly, print devices are used as components within the broader context of the digitally transformed organisation. This is an area of huge opportunity and we are investing heavily in skills and expertise to meet customer needs,” Pollard explained.
He said the downside is that there may be an impact on headcount, with a variety of managerial and back office roles potentially being lost.
Pollard added that the company has a long history of innovation and dealing with change. “While we have had 50 years of success here in New Zealand, like all good business we have made sure our strategy positions us well in the light of changing market dynamics.”
