Microsoft New Zealand has named technology company Intergen as a Tier 1 Cloud Solution Provider…

Cloud solutions are central to Microsoft’s growth strategy, with CEO Satya Nadella noting that it is focused on empowering people and organisations to achieve more. “This is a major coup for Intergen, and a public endorsement of the breadth and quality of our services,” said John Bessey, marketing and client development director at Intergen.

To achieve Tier 1 CSP status, the company demonstrated strong capabilities across its services business model, scale, support services and infrastructure, and customer-focused invoicing.

“Intergen’s proven history of helping customers transform their business is now enhanced through its appointment to CSP status. It can now offer Microsoft Cloud services and add additional business value through packaging its own services alongside and managing the customer experience from billing to provisioning and support,” said Brent Kendrick, Microsoft New Zealand’s director Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners.

Tier 1 partners directly manage the Microsoft cloud customer lifecycle and are entrusted by Microsoft to provide expert guidance on existing and emerging services. Customers benefit from having a single point of contact for all Microsoft Cloud Services and having someone close to their business advising them on the best options in a rapidly evolving environment.

Bessey said the Tier 1 status also gives customers the kind of service they really want; Intergen said studies show that two out of three customers expect to purchase most of their cloud services from a single vendor and 84 percent want to trust one vendor as for cloud services provision.

“The CSP status allows us to simplify how our clients consume cloud services – from one partner on one invoice. It also allows us to build IP into cloud solutions which can be sold across multiple clients, helping our clients get faster time to value on their business solutions investments,” Bessey concluded.
